I really want to run the Aux saubles, though not sure if the flat water will still be ice. James you live really close to there, what's the report? Anyone else have a guess when it will be good to go? How about tomorrow?
Cheers, Matt

Here's the plan for Mike, Jermey and myself,
we're going to try and run the aux saubles though if we go there and find it's still frozen we'll head to the vermillion, check out; panache lk road, the pumphouse and the falls under the train bridge. If anyone else is up for this mission we'll be meeting at 22 indian road @12:00 sunday i'm in apt 410,
Cheers

Hey Matt,
The sauble is still frozen over but it shouldn't be too long before it is ready to go.

Panache = little low, give it a couple of days
Pumphouse: lots of water flowing over both falls, should be good to go!

We checked out the "new" section on the vermillion up by capreol and there was still a lot of snow on the ground, above our knees at spots. The water level was pretty low,it would take a lot of water to make it worth the drive. Went to the pumphouse and it was OK, needs a little more time before the wave is easily surfable.
Interesting story We parked on the side of the road in capreol near an old gate for a rail crossing. When we came back to the jeep were blocked in by a CN police suv. When the lady woke up, yes she was fast asleep, she threatened to fine us $130 each for walking across the rail line. She also asked us if we had seen trains and rail tracks before as mike and I are from out of town. Crazy I know, so we were let off with a warning not to walk across on on rail tracks again.
Thanks Mike P for calling with the updated water levels!
What I want to know is how can CN possibly claim that we don't have the right to cross any rail tracks unless it's at a proper crossing because it's their property? Think of how may times you have walked over rail tracks in your life...does this seem a little absurd to anyone else?
