It was good seeing Kevin and Gerry up in "the dirty slew" this weekend hitting up some backcountry. Gerry put a nice dinger in his car on the way, I guess thats what he gets for driving a mazda...

Yeah Mike, Gerry crashed his wife's car on the way in. They apparently crossed the intersection sideways, "duke's of hazzard stye", and ended up nestled nicely against a transformer station with a 4 inch dent to Gerry's rear door. Had it been Kevin's truck they would have been fucked! We had a wicked time though, Gerry was afraid of the snarb, but that is understandable in his old age...

I'd tell you the truth but Gerieco's wife might read this so I won't. The schnarb wasn't that bad either.

Conspiracy theory or what! You guys are so paranoid one is required to inquire if the dope was that good?
Don't worry about Sue, she'll just kick Gerry in the clams and break his neck with her little finger.
Come on, tell us all about the trip, please...

Ok, ok. Have you been to the Soo lately? They made a new bypass around the Garden River Indian reserve that goes all the way to the Soo. The highway turns into four lanes after Bruce Mines and stays four lanes all the way until your in the Soo now. Neither Gerry or me knew about this change in the highway and figured that it was still straight into the Soo...no crazy turns or stop stop lights or anything.
So we get right into the Soo and to our surprise the four lane highway ends in a stop light and we had to make a 90 degree turn onto Trunk Road. Well holy fuck man, we were still going 105km/hr and had to turn in less than 50-75ft. We hit the traffic island and got airborne....crossed two lanes of traffic and hit the median and went airborne...crossed another two lanes of traffic, jumped the snow bank and smashed into a light post.
Bow and Luke Duke would have been proud, and Gerry's wife's truck "General Lee" proved that its worthy of catching some wicked air...not once, not twice, but thrice.
We dug most of the snow out from under the truck and got some guy in a Honda to pull us out with me and another guy pushing. Fuck man I was laughing so hard I was having a hard time standing up. Gerry turns the truck around and after making sure their weren't any flat tires we were out of their without having to explain anything to the cops...they never showed up.
Other than that episode the weekend was relatively uneventful. The top half of Carp was wicked. The bottom half had some schnarb that was pretty thick but it was still wicked if you knew how to handle it. There was about two feet of snow pack and the schnarb conditions will only improve with more snow. Thanks Jorma & Lorraine for letting us crash at your new house and lettting me borrow all of your gear that I somehow managed to forget at home in Sudbury. Thanks Scotty for letting us use your Skidoo...have fun in B.C. you lucky bastard!
ps. Jorma I borrowed six beers from you. I'll bring them back next time I see you.
