Sudbury to North Bay 1.5hr
Left on Trout Lake Road Hwy 63 to Temiskaming 40 min.
Hwy 101 North to Laniel 40 min
Turn right for Chalets Diane

If you cross the river at Laniel back up...
• [glow=red,2,300]Directions to Kipawa River Lodge (take-out/camping[/glow]):
1. Travel 11.5km north on Hwy 101 from Kipawa River bridge in Laniel
2. Watch for a small pond with three cottages on the left and a "KIPAWA RIVER RALLY" sign.
3. Turn left on a dirt road
4. Drive 11 km to the very end.
5. Park at the top of a steep hill and carry your gear down 100 metres...MAKE SURE to pack light to carry down this hill!
• The Depaneur in Laniel offers camping near the put-in and sells gas, food and beer. You can pay with cash or debit card.
• The nearest ATM banking machine is 11km north on Hwy 101 in the town of Fabre.
• Points of interest at Kipawa River Lodge:
1. Three cabins available on a first come first served basis; sleep 10, 12 and 18 people only.
2. Bring a tent for camping as there is no guarantee to get a cabin.
3. Kitchen and washroom facilities in the cabins are available to campers as well.
4. Tap water is spring fed and safe to drink...no need to lug in water.
5. Pack smart for walk-in camping...much easier to have everything in a back pack.
6. Bring cash to pay for camping fees ($15 each/night), Saturday night fish fry ($20 all you can eat), Rally T-shirts ($15 each; “I Survived...Festival Riviere...Kipawa 2009...River Rally”)
7. Saturday night activities: Fish Fry 6 – 7:30pm; AGM meeting 7:30 – 9:00pm; Bonfire at the Beach 9:00pm (bring your guitar and song book)
8. Sauna will be stoked Friday and Saturday night – bring your swim suit!
