Andrew Noob has scouted a pretty amazing feature worth investigating with our boats in hand.
Problem is ease of access....like always!
Feature(s) are south of the Killarney Hwy or North of Hartley Bay these would require a boat and or canoe and most likely a weekend adventure.
The other is through a series of logging roads and trails...then a paddle down Loon Creek and a quick left upstream once you meet the Wanapitae River.
I may try this Sunday weather permiting.
If you want to join great, could combine this with getting some wild game.
Otherwise a paddle somewhere or trail cutting north of Capreol in anticipation of an awesome back country TeleSki/Snowboard season.

I am in. French and Aux Sable toooo low. Stinson too high.
It would be good to find access for Sat/Sun day access. Cutting a trail is an option too.
Is it the second set of falls after the bridge to killarney? It better be Garb if we get there.

Sturgeon Chutes? Doesn't look that hard to get to. BBQ shore lunch is in order. Paddle isn't that far, doesn't look like a canoe is needed.

Bear Chute...always the easy way, eh Mecke!
THE SET BELOW BEAR! Find Loon Lake, follow Loon Creek then upstream once you hit the W.

There is another road near the river up stream of bear chutes. The road comes within about 300 m of the river.
Way better option

Well, Been there, seen it, done it! Looks like a Highly retentive Picnic...sneak on river right. Might be better at lower levels? Wish Mecke had a camera that worked? Would I do it again? ?

You mean Garbage on the Wanapitae River. Chute ended in a pit hole. Pretty easy line down the chute (too difficult for Mike). Not worth the drive/walk/paddle in.
Went for one surf/beating just because of the work to get there.
Noob your river knowledge/eye site is in question.

Translation: Drive in not in your Truck Collin Walk in tired you out Paddle down I must admit sucked as did the paddle back Your time in the pit sucked...whereas the old man was smart enough to immediately decide that the walk back up was not worth the ride Stop for fireside lunch was good I could hear you whine through the wind and trees about the hike out.
Noob you screwed us!
